La Taverne
de Maitre Kanter
Reims
June 2002
This is a hotel restaurant serving French and a type of German style
cuisine and German beers which were very good.
Champagne here was very expensive considering it is not made so far
away. There were some very large seafood platters being served around
us, a speciality apparently.
The food was adequate, but nothing special, although possibly better
than some hotel restaurans and it was nice to sit outside in the warm
evening. Salad was unwashed and a bit 'buggy' but the beer almost made
up for it. However, we would not return here. There are plenty of other
places to choose from nearby and plenty of other touristy places to
avoid.
