Jacksons Restaurant Guide 2001 - 2003 Imperial
This is a little cafe/restaurant in the centre of Golders Green's main shopping area. It has been there for a long time and looks very nice from the outside. The food ranges from all day breakfast to cakes and pastries, afternoon teas, sandwiches and full menus. It is a strange place. The all day breakfast is quite good, but the cream tea is not, consisting of a scone, a teacake a pot of jam and instead of the cream one would expect, it comes with a squirt of aerosol foam, not very pleasant. Another meal to be careful of is the Tex Mex breakfast, unless you like half raw (fried) eggs. If you just want a snack it is a pleasant enough place provided you don't sit by the piano (unless you are alone and do not wish to converse with anyone, or are hard of hearing anyway). The staff, although slow, are pleasant and it is clean but order v e r y carefully, you may not get what you are expecting. Food Service Cleanliness
