TGI Fridays,
Mill Hill, London
Our first visit for quite some time......
4th June 2002.There were empty tables in both smoking and non smoking
but we were told we had to wait 20 minutes for either. It is not possible
to book, so there does not seem to be any logic in this unless it is
to encourage the purchase of unwanted drinks at the bar while waiting
for a table.
Served by Niki on this visit.
Ordered garlic bread as a starter. It did not arrive until after the
main course had been served.
One of the meals ordered was mixed grill consisting of chicken, steak
and shrimp, when it arrived the shrimp were missing. We had to ask for
them.
After the meal we asked for a cappuccino but there was none as the machine
was out of order.
Food quality was good but service was bad although friendly.
When the restaurant fills up, the service becomes more and more erratic
and disorganised. This was not our first visit here and it doesn't seem
to change. On a previous visit we have had to wait 45 minutes for orders
which were taken and then forgotten when the staff changed shift.
1 beer, 1 water, garlic
bread, 2 mains, 1 coffee £35 approx
